Meet Dr. Bret Dyer
Dr. Dyer, a native of Lamesa, TX, earned his B.A. in biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984, his D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1988, and his master’s in periodontics from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1991. A Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, he has conducted award-winning research on regeneration and laser treatments, contributing to FDA approval for specific periodontal procedures. Inspired by time spent in his father’s dental practice, he has built a distinguished career as a leader in laser dentistry. Married to his college sweetheart, Jacque, for over 35 years, they have two children, a daughter-in-law, and a son-in-law. Outside the office, Dr. Dyer enjoys cycling (having completed major Colorado passes and the MS 150) bird hunting, gardening, and serving actively at Christ United Methodist Church.
Meet Dr. Thomas Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen, a Houston native who grew up in Katy, TX, earned his B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015, his D.D.S. from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2019, and his certificate and master’s in periodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston in 2022. Highly active in academics and research, he won multiple awards for studies on dental stem cells, regeneration, antibodies, and growth factors—areas central to periodontics. Outside the office, he enjoys golf, tennis, traveling, and exploring new restaurants, always eager for dining recommendations from patients.
