Meet Dr. Jian Lee
Dr. Jian grew up in Los Angeles, California, and earned his Biology degree from UC San Diego before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he was recognized with the Humanitarian Award from the International College of Dentists. He completed specialized pediatric training at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania and has experience caring for diverse patient populations across metropolitan and suburban communities. Today, he brings his gentle approach, personalized care philosophy, and extensive training to families in Frederick, Maryland. Outside the office, Dr. Jian teaches future pediatric dentists at Penn/CHOP and enjoys exploring coffee shops, playing board games, and planning his next adventure.
A Family Practice with a Shared Vision
Tiny Trips Pediatric Dentistry was founded by Dr. Jian and Dr. Laurel with a shared vision of creating a dental experience that feels welcoming, supportive, and enjoyable for children and their families. Dr. Laurel Yan earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she met her husband and practice partner, Dr. Jian. As a general dentist and National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholar, she provides care to underserved communities and is passionate about improving access to quality oral healthcare. With plans to continue her training in orthodontics at Rutgers University, Dr. Laurel looks forward to expanding care options for families in the Frederick community. Together, Dr. Jian and Dr. Laurel created Tiny Trips as more than just a dental office, but a place where children can build confidence, create positive memories, and feel excited about their dental journey.
