Meet The Doctor
Dr. Allison O'Brien
Dr. Allison O’Brien believes there is much more to oral health than just your teeth. She follows the Dawson Academy philosophy of complete dental care, which considers the teeth, joints, and muscles working together in harmony. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry and completed advanced training through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at University Hospital in Cincinnati, where she served the special needs community in a hospital setting. Dr. O’Brien is currently on staff at the Manatee Surgery Center, treating patients on an outpatient surgery basis. She has completed hundreds of hours of advanced education through the Dawson Academy and is a member of the American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health. As a Bioclear Certified Dentist, she offers patients conservative alternatives to traditional crowns and veneers. Outside the office, she is active in the Lakewood Ranch Rotary Club and volunteers with organizations such as Save Our Seabirds, Sarasota Bay Sea Grass Surveys, and local beach cleanup efforts.
